Ms. Carpenter: About Ms. Carpenter My name is Whitney Carpenter. I currently teach ELA and History at Harriet Tubman Charter. I graduated from California State University San Marcos with a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts and my California Preliminary Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I also have passed the CSET exam to become No Child Left Behind compliant. I am also in the process of receiving my Masters of Education in Teaching Language Arts through SDSU. I’ve been substitute teaching since January 2010 and taught in two long-term assignments in 8th Grade Language Arts, totaling nine months. Last year, I taught 8th grade at Santa Rosa Academy in Menifee, CA. This is my first year at Tubman and I feel so blessed to part of such a great school and community! I look forward to working with all of you collaboratively to create a learning environment that thrives on strong work ethics, dedication to success, and developing character so the students can continue to be lifelong learners.
